Man charged and named after allegedly fleeing Aylesbury Vale prison

A man has been charged, accused of escaping an Aylesbury Vale prison, Thames Valley Police confirmed this morning (20 June).

Martin Roy Newsome-McLaren, was charged with escaping from lawful custody at HMP Springhill.

The 42-year-old was charged today, in relation to an incident on 10 June.

Newsome-McLaren was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today, he faces one count of escaping from lawful custody.
