A MAN arrested in connection with a sexual assault on a woman in a Bicester park on Wednesday has been released without charge.

Police are appealing for more information after a woman was assaulted in Bure Park.

The 44-year-old woman was walking around the park’s nature reserve at about 2.50pm. She heard a rustling noise, and as she turned around, she noticed a man who then touched her inappropriately.

The attacker is described as a chubby man of average height, with short dark hair, and aged in his late thirties to early forties. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and dark blue jeans.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Mike Lynch, said police would like to speak to anyone who saw a man fitting this description around the park on Wednesday afternoon.

A 25-year-old man who was arrested last week in connection with the incident has been released without charge.

Anyone with information should contact Det Insp Mike Lynch at Force CID via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
