A CASHIER was left with a cut arm after an axe-wielding gang robbed a petrol station in Steeple Aston near Bicester yesterday evening.

Three masked men entered the Texaco petrol station in Oxford Road at around 7.50pm and forced the 24-year-old man to hand over cash.

Det Con Rebecca McCamley, of Banbury CID, said: “This was clearly a frightening incident for the man who was working in the petrol station at the time of the incident.

“We are in the early stages of our investigation and I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or anyone who saw three men acting suspiciously either before or immediately after the robbery.”

Anyone with any information should contact Det Con McCamley via 08458 505505, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
