A CYCLIST suffered cuts and grazes after he was knocked off his bike by a man in Launton Road on Thursday evening.

The cyclist, a 42-year-old man from Bicester, was attacked on a cyclepath in Launton Road at around 6.20pm.

Three men walking in the other direction had parted to let him through, but then one of them punched the cyclist in the face, knocking him off his bike. The men then carried on into town.

The first man was white, slim, of average height, and aged in his mid-20s. He had short blond hair and was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and jeans.

The remaining two men were both aged in their early 20s, slim and about 5ft 7ins tall. One was of mixed race, had a short afro haircut, and wore an orange T-shirt. The other was white with mousey mid-length hair, and wore a white T-shirt.

Police also want to speak to two women who stopped to help the cyclist. Anyone with information should contact PC Tina Maulson on 101.
