POLICE are hunting a pair of burglars who threatened a Bicester couple with a knife on their doorstep last Tuesday.

At about 9.15pm, a 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were at home in Rochford Gardens when two men knocked on their door.

One of the men threatened the couple with a knife, told them to come out of the house, and demanded money.

They refused and the men ran off towards Sunderland Close after police were called.

Both men are white and they spoke with an eastern European accent. One of the men is in his twenties, medium build, about 5ft 8ins, with short brown hair. He was wearing a blue vest with a circular motif and jeans.

The other man is about 5ft 9ins, medium build, and was wearing a dark hooded top.

PC Bryn Smith, from Banbury Police Station, said: “The nature of this incident is very unusual. I would advise local residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious people or incidents to police.”

Anyone with information can contact PC Smith on 101.
