NASH: Police are appealing for information after burglars stole rings belonging to an old lady.

The resident was in hospital when thieves broke into her house, in Stratford Road, between 6pm on Wednesday, November 21, and noon on Thursday, November 22.

Det Con Emma Francis, from Aylesbury police station, said: “The rings are of extreme sentimental value as they are from the victim’s husband who passed away 20 years ago.

“The victim is a very vulnerable elderly lady who had been in hospital until last week.

“She is very upset by what has happened and I am keen to bring those responsible to justice.

“I would like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area or if you have been offered rings fitting the above description.”

Anyone with information should call the 24-hour police enquiry Centre on 101 and ask to speak to Det Con Francis.

If you don’t want to speak to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org
