Police have appealed for witnesses after a safe and other items were stolen from a home in Bicester.

The occupants were on holiday when burglars broke into the home in Kingsclere Road through a rear ground floor window between July 28 and August 9.

A games console and games, jewellery, coins, a laptop, a mobile phone, and a small safe containing bank cards and cheque books had been stolen. The safe was found empty in a ditch nearby.

Anyone with information about the burglary, or who saw suspicious activity in the area between the dates in question, should contact PC Richard Lewis via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
