Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after burglars broke into Browns hair salon on Wednesday.

Between 9.20pm and 10.30pm, offenders gained entry to the salon in the Market Square.

Once inside, the offenders stole 14 pairs of GHD hair straighteners worth £1,500 and £200 from the till.

During the course of the burglary, the two offenders cut the power and ripped the alarm system off the wall.

The offenders who were captured on CCTV are both white. One was wearing a white hooded top, gloves and carrying something like a baseball bat or crowbar. The other offender was wearing a light blue hooded top with Adidas-style white stripes on the shoulders and arms.

The men were seen running away in the direction of the local library.

Police are appealing for anybody who has information about this incident; saw any suspicious activity in the area or who has been offered the stolen goods to come forward.
