A TEENAGER from Bicester has been charged with four counts of sexual assault following a series of incidents involving a male cyclist.

The 17-year-old boy, who was arrested on Thursday, appeared at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

An 18-year-old from Bicester who was also arrested on Thursday has been eliminated from the investigation, say police.

The arrests followed four incidents in Bicester over the past few weeks. In each case, lone women were assaulted by a man on a bike, who touched them inappropriately before cycling off.

The assaults took place on September 5 near the Bure Farm pub; the alleyway at the back of Balliol Road on September 22; in Town Walk East by the railway tunnel on September 30; and on Withington Road on October 9.
