Two charged over burglary

Two people have been charged with burglary, fraud and taking a car without the owner’s consent after a burglary at a home in Weston-on-the-Green last week.

Michelle Bramham, 43, and Colin Mateley, 30, of Braithwaite Close in Banbury, have been charged with one count of burglary relating to a break-in at a home in Westlands Avenue, Weston-on-the-Green, on Tuesday last week.

Thames Valley Police has also charged them with one count of taking without consent, relating to the taking of a Citroen C1 hatchback from a home in Thorpe Way in the village, as well as one count of fraud.

Mateley has also been charged with driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Both were due to appear before Banbury Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday last week.
