POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 41-year-old woman was assaulted in Buckingham in the small hours of Saturday, November 12.

The woman was walking along London Road towards Tesco at about 1.30am, after a night out in the town centre, when she heard footsteps behind her.

As she turned round, she felt a hard blow to the side of her face and saw four men running towards the town centre.

She suffered a large bruise to her face and scratches indicating that a weapon of some kind was used in the assault.

Investigating officer PC Jamie Mulliner said: “I want to speak to anyone who was driving or walking in the London Road area at the time of the offence.”

Call PC Mulliner via the new 24-hour police enquiry centre on 101. If you don’t want to leave your name or speak to police, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
