A new batch of free bikes was made available on Monday this week as part of the Cycle for Bicester scheme.
The initiative was launched by Oxfordshire County Council last year to encourage residents to lead healthier, greener lifestyles.
Participants can borrow a bike for free if they agree to swap one car journey for a cycle ride each week.
Councillor David Nimmo, the county council’s lead member for transport, said feedback from Bicester residents last year was very positive.
He added: “This is probably the easiest way I have ever heard of for someone who wants to try cycling. It’s free, so there’s no reason for not giving it a go.”
Participants were asked to sign up last month for the latest batch of bikes, but details of the scheme are available on 01865 810461.
