A cyclist was punched the face on Glory Farm estate, in Bicester.

At around 7.15am on Friday, January 15, in Boston Road adjacent to Halifax Road, the 22-year-old victim was cycling to work when a silver car drove past at speed from the roundabout near the Hundred Acres Pub.

The vehicle then turned into a side road and came to a stop where the driver got out of the vehicle and punched the victim in the face, causing the victim to fall off the bike. He was then punched again.

Investigating officer PC Kevin Dell, based at Bicester police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.

“We believe the driver of a white van stopped to help the victim, and may hold some information that could assist with the investigation.

“I would like to ask anybody who saw anything in or around the Foresters pub at the time of the offence to please come forward and speak to Thames Valley Police on 101 or, anonymously,Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
