Dog owners have the chance to show off their playful pooches at a summer dog show for loved pets.

Eight fun classes will include Waggiest Tail, Best Child Handler, Handsomest Male and Prettiest Bitch.

Buckingham Dog Show takes place in the paddock at Bourton Park in the town on Sunday July 12.

There will be a demonstration from the Midland Bernese Carters who are seen every year in the annual Christmas parade.

Others taking part in the day will include Pawsitive Solutions Roadshow, a group of like-minded dog trainer s and canine behaviour counsellors committed to promoting the training and modification of problem behaviour using motivational methods that will not harm or distress your pet dog.

They regularly attend local events to offer advice to pet owners on how to prevent and address problem behaviour and how to find a dog trainer or behaviourist the dog can trust.

The Medical Detection Dogs and In The Dog ‘Ouse dog grooming will also be at the event.

Registration for the dog show will start at 11am on the day and judging will begin at 11.30am.
