GREYHOUNDS: With greyhound racing set to start in Towcester next spring racecourse bosses have signed a deal to broadcast dog races around the globe.

Towcester Racecourse greyhound track is set to open in May 2013 and the £1.2million track will be the first of its kind to open since Sittingbourne dog track was unveiled in the 1990s.

The racecourse has signed a deal with Satellite Information Services to record, distribute, and broadcast races on multiple platforms. SIS has a longstanding relationship with SIS through its coverage of horse racing in Towcester.

Racecourse chief executive Kevin Ackerman said racecourse is set to become the‘Premier Greyhound venue in the UK.’
