District council tops customer service poll

IN MARCH South Northants Council came top in a poll which measures customer satisfaction.

Around 85 per cent of visitors to the offices in Towcester said they were happy with the face to face service they received, in the poll of 70 councils across the UK.

In February the GovMetric Customer Access Index, which pulls together feedback on phone calls to the council, face to face contact and online, rated SNC as the fifth best in the country, up from eight the previous month.

SNC cabinet member Andrew Wilby, said: “We are always working to improve customer satisfaction and encourage resident to give us feedback to shape our services.”
