If you are going to illegally flytip, it is probably not advisable to do it in a council car park...
A delivery driver has been fined after dumping a wooden pallet in the car park at the offices of South Northamptonshire Council in Towcester.
On December 1 last year the driver made a delivery to the council and was asked to take the pallet with him.
CCTV recorded the driver place it on the back of his lorry, but then change his mind and leave the pallet in a part of the car park used by the public.
Council enforcers got in touch with the delivery company who named the driver, and he he was slapped with a fixed penalty notice of £75.
Councillor Andrew Grant, deputy leader and portfolio holder for environment said: “Although this was a minor offence SNC will pursue anyone who litters or fly-tips no matter who they are. We will take action against anyone where there is clear evidence of wrong doing.”
