A Bicester girl has been offered places at two prestigious theatre schools.
Liv Barnett-Legh, who attends Magdalen College School in Brackley, has been a student of Stagecoach Performing Arts in Banbury since the age of six.
Now Liv has been offered a post-16 diploma place to study musical theatre at Read Dance and Theatre College, in Reading.
The 16-year-old has also been offered a place to study acting at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, in Tring, and she will be auditioning for other stage schools as well.
Either of the courses she has been offered would give Liv the equivalent of three A-levels, and also the potential to pursue post-18 degree courses at other leading drama schools.
Liv, who attends Magdalen College School, in Brackley, has had starring roles with Stagecoach over the years, including Dorothy in The Wiz, when her dog Bella played Toto.
Liv said: “He actually disgraced himself mid-performance by deciding he had had enough of being on stage and ran off!”
Liv, who still plans to attend Stagecoach Banbury on Saturdays whenshe starts her college course, said: “When I was 11, I attended a two-week Stagecoach professional training course in London and then I knew I wanted to do this as a career.
“As well as teaching me to sing, dance and act, Stagecoach has given me so many life skills – the biggest one is confidence. It’s also given me lifelong friends.”
Principal of Stagecoach Banbury Melissa Allen said: “I’m just thrilled for Liv.
“She has worked so hard over the years and will, I’m sure, secure a career in the industry, because her talent shines through.
“It’s so rewarding to see children grow into teenagers, and move on to the next stage of their dreams.”
