EIGHT children from Steeple Claydon School travelled to London earlier this month to give a presentation at a big international conference.

Headteacher Becky Ellers attended the BETT conference, which showcases UK and international educational technology products, resources and best practice, along with the school’s eight Lead Learners and vice-chairman of governors Rachel Tilden-Walker.

Lead Learners are pupils who have been selected for their skills as model learners. The team delivered their talk, on setting up a multimedia suite in a small school, to a full house.

Also speaking at the event was Education Secretary Michael Gove.

Steeple Claydon was one of only two primary schools to be given this opportunity.

Mrs Ellers told the Advertiser: “We have already had schools from around the world email us wanting to share learning opportunities.”
