Winslow: Furze Down School is to undergo an £8.7 million rebuild.

The school, earmarked for rebuild under the Building Schools For The Future programme, suffered a major setback in May 2010, when funding was reviewed, and an allocation of £80 million for Bucks was withdrawn.

But last month the Bucks County Council’s cabinet approved a new capital programme, which enabled it to find resources for the rebuild.

The aim is to have the new school up and running in March 2014.
