A HUSBAND and wife team in Brackley are appealing for help as they support a vital emergency service.
David and Chris Saunders are volunteers for the Warks and Northants Air Ambulance and both said visiting community events throughout the region is a wonderful way to support a worth while cause, and urged others to join them.
Mr Saunders, who was a land paramedic for 27 years said: “We were based in Brackley, it could take 20/25 minutes to get to some of the villages, where as the air ambulance could do Coventry to Milton Keynes Hospital in 20 minutes.”
Mr Saunders said as a paramedic he never had the option to call upon an air ambulance but added: “Times have changed, accidents happen at higher speeds, and it is often land crews who call for the help of an air ambulances. It is a life saver.
“You see that big yellow bird coming towards you and your hair stands on end.”
