A COOKERY school near Bicester has put together some simple autumn recipes to help residents cut waste and save money for British Food Fortnight.
Chef Ilja Harvey, from the Pudding Pie Cookery School in Middleton Cheney outside Banbury, is helping the Oxfordshire Waste Partnership by producing simple recipes to make the most of seasonal food.
Homemade ketchup, carrot and orange chutney and apple and ginger jam are among the recipes available for British Food Fortnight, running from September 17 to October 2.
Free copies of the Oxfordshire Waste Partnership (OWP) Eat Well, Waste Less recipe book will also be available in Banbury Town Centre on Sunday, and at the Banbury Canal Festival on October 2.
