A pair of festive concerts to warm the cockles helped a choir raise nearly £2,000 to help fight brain tumours.

The Lenborough Singers, have donated the £1,500
proceeds of their most recent concerts to Padbury-based Brain Tumour Research.

As well as cash from ticket sales, the choir asked for
donations from the audience who attended two performances of the choir’s Christmas Around the World concerts at St Bernardine’s Church in Buckingham in December.

Director of the choir Sarah Wakeman, said: “Choir members are
invited to suggest local
charities which we might support at the three concerts we put on each year.

“We were delighted to
support Brain Tumour Research in this way and to hear from representatives of the charity about the valuable and
much-needed work it is doing. The audience was obviously moved too.”
