A specialist door and window company that has featured on self-build TV shows including Grand Designs and the DIY SOS is opening a new showroom this weekend.
Kloeber, which already has showrooms in London and Cambridgeshire, is opening the designer doors to its new premises in Grendon Underwood today, Saturday.
Launched at the Grand Designs Exhibition in 2006, the company quickly became a market leader for timber folding sliding doors and has become a firm favourite with self builders.
Co-owner Matt Higgs chose the area for the company’s new showroom after monitoring its own statistics.
He said: “We looked at where our customers came from and there was a bit of a gap where we were doing a lot of quotes for people in Oxon and Bucks but they weren’t coming to our showroom.”
During a road trip around the area, he came across the Old Dairy at Grendon Underwood and ‘fell in love with it”.
The subsequent announcement of a new garden city for Bicester and 1,900 plots earmarked for self-build at Graven Hill was “music to our ears”, said Mr Higgs.
The premises has been refurbished, using local firms, to incorporate Kloeber’s own windows and doors into the building.
Opening hours will be 9am to 2pm on Saturdays and 9am to 5pm Tuesdays to Fridays.
