An award-winning former Winslow chef is returning to the area to take up a new post.
Stephen Bulmer, the former owner of the successful Brook Hall cookery school, in Sheep Street, has been working as chef director at Swinton Park Cookery School in Yorkshire, after leaving Winslow in 2011.
On December 1, Stephen will make his return to the region as head chef at Green Dragon Eco Farm, in Hogshaw.
Already well known as a rare breeds farm, children’s play centre and corporate conference centre, Green Dragon is now developing the food offer in its restaurants to feature its home-reared meats and garden and orchard produce.
Widely acknowledged to be one of the leading cookery school tutors in the UK, Stephen will offer cookery demonstrations, a cookery school and courses, plus sessions for business away days, and team building activities.
His new ventures include Restaurant Nights, which start on December 10 and 17.
Chef Tables will be a demonstration dining experience limited to 12 guests, where Stephen creates a four-course set dinner menu in front of them. The first Chef Tables event is on December 22.
From January, guests can Cook Lunch with Stephen Bulmer, where they prepare a three-course menu together under Stephen’s tuition, which is then cooked and served as the guests’ lunch.
