Funeral date set following the sad death of Tiggywinkles Les

The funeral of Les Stocker, pioneering founder of the St Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital has been arranged.

It will be held next Tuesday, August 2, at St Mary’s Church in Haddenham at 11.30am.

Mr Stocker passed away suddenly aged 73, on his way back from a holiday.

He leaves behind wife Sue and son Colin with whom he started Tiggywinkles, as well as his daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

Mr Stocker was awarded the MBE in 1991 for his 
work at Tiggywinkles and was a columnist for this newspaper.

His last column appears this week with his family’s blessing.
