A TEAM of volunteers got together earlier this month to plant bluebells in Bourton Park.

The aim of the free, family-friendly Saturday morning event, organised by the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV), was to create a carpet of bluebells for the community to enjoy in future years. Volunteers met at 10.30am in the car park off Bourton Road. Tools, gloves, bluebells and refreshments were provided.

Set up in 1959, BTCV has a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and across the world.
