A man thumped the windscreen of a woman driver during a road rage incident in Brackley last week.

At around 4.20pm on Friday, May 17, a 46-year-old woman was driving a black Toyota Celica along Oxford Road, when a silver Ford Fusion pulled out in front of her, causing her to brake suddenly.

Both continued into Bridge Street and then Banbury Road, with the Ford in front.

As the woman indicated to turn right into Manor Road, the Ford stopped and the driver got out of the car and shouted abuse at the woman, before damaging the windscreen.

The man driving the Ford is described as being in his mid 30s, was around 5ft 6ins tall and of slight build, with dark coloured hair and a rugged complexion.

There was a passenger in the Ford who was an older man, with scruffy hair.

Police would like to speak to the bystander who tried to intervene on 101.
