A 40-YEAR-OLD man from Brackley is hoping to go the full distance when he raises money for a hospice in Milton Keynes next month.

On Sunday April, 17, operations manger of the Midsummer Place Shopping Centre Paul, Tilbury will attempted to box a punch bag for 78 minutes.

Mr Tilbury hopes to complete 26 three minutes rounds, with only a 60 second break between each, to raise around £1,000 for the Willen Hospice.

Despite the lack of an opponent Mr Tilbury promises to go full tilt to raise money for the charity.

He said he has been training for weeks by lifting more than his own body weight to build stamina and strength as well and as honing his technique on a bag.

He added: “I’ve got some great support for this event and although it is a big challenge both physically and mentally, I’m going to give it my best shot.”
