PEOPLE in Buckingham who fancy trying out a new sport can take advantage of a free korfball session with the Buckingham Royals. The first two sessions, from 7pm to 8pm at the Queen’s Sports Hall, The Buckingham School, are free of charge to newcomers, and after that the cost is £3 per week.

The offer comes as Reactivate Bucks launches its Give It A Go week next week, fronted by TV comedian Miranda Hart, aimed at making people aware of how many sport and leisure activities are open to them in the county.

As part of the same scheme, Buckingham dance and fitness instructor Janey Betts is offering a free taster session for first-timers at all her classes during Give It A Go Week, from February 14 to 2O. Just identify yourself to Janey on arrival and tell her you wish to claim the free taster offer, as seen in the Advertiser.

The classes include Zumba, at 6.30pm on Tuesday evenings at Buckingham Primary School, and at 7.30pm at The Buckingham School; Zumba Yummy Mummies at 10am on Tuesdays and Fridays at Buckingham Youth Centre; and line dancing at all levels on Wednesday evenings at The Woolpack, in Well Street.
