Hi De Hi! Su Pollard will star as the Wicked Queen in this year's Aylesbury Waterside panto

Su Pollard, will be playing this year's booable baddie, the Wicked Queen, in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Fri 8 - Sun 31 Dec.

A legend within the showbiz industry with over four decades of experience under her belt and a huge wealth of starring roles on stage and TV, Su has featured in: Opportunity Knocks, Hi-de-Hi!, You Rang, M’Lord? Two Up, Two Down, The Royal Variety performance, Take the Plunge (quiz show host), Gimme Gimme Gimme, Benidorm Christmas Special, The Paul O’Grady Show, Richard and Judy, Songs of Praise, Weakest Link, Loose Women, This Morning, Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special, Pointless, The Big Fat Quiz of the Year and Les Dawson: an Audience With That Never Was. Su also voiced the title role in Penny Crayon, a popular animated TV series for children.

Su’s theatre credits include Miss Hannigan in Annie in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore, Maid Marian in the British tour of Ha Ha Hood! and the Prince of Leaves, West End roles in Godspell, Me and My Girl, Don’t Dress for Dinner, Menopause - the Musical and Shout! - the Swinging 60s Musical. Su has appeared in the following national touring productions: The Desert Song, Rose Marie, Not Now, Darling, Grease, Babes in Arms, Oh Mr Porter!, Sweet Charity, Little Shop of Horrors; The Pirates of Penzance, See How They Run, Abigail’s Party, A Happy Medium, The Vagina Monologues, Romeo and Juliet. No stranger to panto Su has also starred in Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, Dick Whittington, Babes in the Wood, Cinderella and Snow White.

Su has recently recorded a new series of a CBeebies show, Hacker Time, and also featured on ITV’s Who’s Doing the Dishes in October last year.

The panto star looks forward to being in Bucks this Christmas and teases: ‘Brace yourselves Aylesbury! I love panto, and can’t wait to whip you all up into a festive frenzy. It may only be spring but I’m expecting you to practise your boos and polish up your hisses - I like audiences loud and proud, it’s going to be wicked!’
