Hope for youth club but it’s still ‘on a knife-edge’

A WINSLOW town councillor has expressed hope that the town will be able to retain a youth club in the face of county council cuts, but warned that the service is still “on a knife-edge”.

Wendy Castle told last week’s town council meeting that Bucks County Council has agreed to provide a youth leader for the town’s youth club until the end of the summer term, which means the youth club will continue to run on Tuesday nights until then.

Meanwhile the club’s management committee is preparing for a major change of role when it takes over management of the Youth Centre building, in Avenue Road.
