House burgled in Bicester

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Highfield, Bicester.

At around 10.40pm on Saturday, an offender gained entry to a house in Bucknell Road by using an unknown instrument to take the keys from the lock.

One of the occupants was disturbed by a noise outside and saw a man at the rear door then saw their kitchen light turned on. Another occupant shouted at the offender who then ran away.

Nothing was taken.

PC Bryn Smith of Banbury police station said: “There was a large party in the street on Saturday night with many revellers walking up and down Bucknell Road around this time.

“I would urge anyone who saw any person acting suspiciously in the area around this time to contact the police.”
