The first evening meeting of the year saw harmony for the women’s section of the Royal British Legion Winslow Branch.
The April meeting welcomed Cantores, pictured, a group five men and women who sang in harmony to the audience.
The branch reports: “The selection of songs was varied and it was obvious to everyone that these people had a great love of singing-and singing so well. Following the entertainment Chris Chapman told us a little about the Winslow Drama Group’s next production, Don’t You Know There’s a War On. The singers joined our members for refreshments and we had remembered the biscuits this month! Cantores generously donated their fee to the RBL Poppy Fund. A heartfelt thank you to them all. During the refreshments the raffle was drawn before closing the meeting at 9pm.
For those ladies who have difficulty getting to our meetings, we can arrange transport for a very small charge. Contact Margaret Langley in advance and arrangements will be made.”
