Late rally by Bletchley foils Winslow

FOOTBALL: Winslow United had to settle for a 3-3 draw at Bletchley Town last Saturday after hat-trick hero Lee Jones came to the host’s rescue.

Winlsow led through an 11th minute Max Brooks’ strike with Jones levelling in the 27th minute. James Brown made it 2-0 to Winslow two minutes later and the score remained unchanged as the firsthalf came to a close.

Chris Setterfield extended Winslow’s lead after the break, but goals on 82 and 88 minutes from Jones snatched a late draw for Bletchley.

Winslow stay just below mid-table but with games in hand in the South Midlands Division Two table.

Winslow entertain Pitstone & Ivinghoe in the league this Saturday.
