Legion opens its doors to say ‘thank you’

WINSLOW: Winslow’s Royal British Legion will be opening its doors to local people over the Jubilee weekend.

Tomorrow, Saturday, there will be a disco, karaoke and meat roast, starting at 7pm.

On Tuesday, June 5, the Women’s Section are holding a cream tea party from 2.30pm. After this there will be a children’s disco at about 4.30pm, followed by an adults’ disco from 7.30pm with resident DJ Slimboy Fat.

All members and non-members are invited.

Welfare secretary Brian Smith said: “This is our way of saying thank you to people for the way they support our Poppy Appeal.”
