A university department could see lessons in pampering on the curriculum, afer moving to a top hotel and health spa.

The University of Buckingham’s School of Education, which runs four postgraduate residential courses and has about 500 students, has jumped at the opportunity to occupy four rooms at Whittlebury Hall

The department moved to the hotel and spa last week, and all its part-time residential postgraduate courses will now be held there.

Courses offered are M Ed in Education Leadership, Postgraduate Certificate in Middle Leadership, Primary PGCE with Teachers’ Standards and Secondary PGCE with Teachers’ Standards.

The University of Buckingham Department of Education promotes teacher training and research in education.

It believes teacher training is best based in practical work in good schools, supplemented by relevant academic input into the philosophy and practice of education.
