Several motorists involved in a multi-car pile up on the A34 this morning, Wednesday, escaped serious injury.
At 12.55pm firefighters from Rewley Road Fire Station in Oxford were called to reports of a collision between Bletchingdon and Weston-on-the-Green.
Crews worked with ambulance paramedics and the police to assist nine people from four cars involved in the crash.
No-one needed to be taken to hospital.
Incident commander watch manager Frank Patterson said: “Fortunately nobody was seriously injured in this incident. One car was on its roof and had to be winched onto the hard shoulder.
“We worked closely with our colleagues from the police and the ambulance service to treat persons involved and to make the scene safe as quickly as possible.”
The northbound carriageway was closed for about one hour to allow vehicle recovery and cleaning of the road.
