WHAT’S black and white, waddles and is doing a walk for charity? Luke Williams in a penguin costume, that’s what.
Luke Williams in a penguin costume, that’s who.
Mr Williams, assistant manager at the Bicester branch of heating and plumbing merchant Plumbase will be donning the costume for a fancy dress walk around Bicester on Saturday, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The five mile route will start and finish at the Plough Pub in North Street. The walk begins at noon.
Mr Williams said he wanted to raise money for Macmillan after his father, Tad, overcame bowel cancer last year, but was this year diagnosed with liver cancer and is now undergoing chemotherapy.
He said: “I wanted to do something to help and the idea has really taken off with lots of support from everyone I know.
“Dad has said he’ll donate £1 for the first 100 people to take part, which is very generous of him. The fancy dress is optional, but all my family will be getting costumes out.”
Plumbase has chosen Macmillan Cancer support as its charity partner.
