AFTER three decades the Lois Weedon and Weston May Day fair continues to thrive with rural favourites such sheep sheering, welly wanging and Morris dancing.
Over the last 11 years the event has also become synonymous with running and 300 people are expected take part in the Great Weston five mile run.
The fun starts at 10am but the fair officially opens with the crowning of the May Queen at midday. This year Sir John and Lady Greenaway, deputy lord lieutenant of Northants will also help the official opening which will be followed by a performance by the Maypole dancers of St Loys School. Entry is £1.50, and 50p for children.
