HUNDREDS of classic and veteran car owners treated themselves to a leisure drive through south Northants and north bucks last weekend.

The Creepy Crawly Car Rally organised by the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain saw a host of turn of the century cars tour the roads around the Little Horwood Conference Centre before stopping at Claydon House as part of the two day rally.

Meanwhile the Towcester based classic car and bike insurance firm Hagerty was encouraging its customers to get out and use their machines during the companies annual Drive It Day.

Hagerty took 100 cars through the district to the motoring Mecca of Prodrive in Banbury before heading back to Stowe House to bask in the spring sunshine.

Corvette Stingray owner Dr Tony Pitt said: “It’s great to see an insurance company actually encouraging you to drive your pride and joy, and they have their own cars as well and a part of the community. It’s great to see that in action and I will definitely be back next year.”
