Mystery as fluffy Murray found walking near windmill

A young terrier in a poor condition was found near a Buckinghamshire windmill and nobody knows where he came from.

The male white-and-tan dog, thought to be aged around one, was found by a couple walking near Brill Windmill, on Monday (4 April) afternoon. He had no collar or lead.

The RSPCA’s Chief Inspector for Buckinghamshire, Rob Hartley, said: “The two people who found him waited with him for an hour to see if any owners came looking for him. They also asked passers-by if they recognised him but nobody did.

“The poor little lad - who we have named Murray - had overgrown claws and a flea allergy. He is not microchipped either, so we have no idea where he came from.

“Thankfully he was found and he is now being looked after, but we are urging anyone who knows where he came from to contact us in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018, as it is important that we find out how he came to be in the condition that he was in.”

The RSPCA is a charity and relies on public donations to exist. To assist inspectors in carrying out their work text HELP to 78866 to give £3. (Texts cost £3 + one standard network rate message.)
