New home for unwanted cameras

PEOPLE who receive a new digital camera for Christmas are being asked to donate their old one to charity.

Since 2008 Graham Teager from Brackley has been visiting impoverished people in Namibia and along with friends Scott and Judy Hurd set up the SNAP Africa Charity.

The charity recognises that most Africans have no visual record of events which people in the west take for granted, such a births and weddings. SNAP Africa aims to train people to take and process pictures giving them transferable skills such as English, and computer skills, and a way of generating an income.

Mr Teager said past donations are providing opportunities for people who have very little. Email him at .
