POLICING: a new police sergeant in Towcester has promised to deliver an excellent service as she returns to the district.

Sgt Carol Fullerton has taken over the role of Sector Sergeant at Towcester Safer Community Team.

She takes on the role from Sgt Micki Kennet and said: “I started my career in the Metropolitan Police in February 1990, transferring to Northamptonshire in November 2000.

“I worked in the south Northants area before moving to a role in Custody for 12 months, followed by four and a half years in the Force Control Room before moving to Daventry to lead a local response team.

“My aim is to ensure that my team and I deliver an excellent service to everyone that lives and works in the area and we are committed to dealing with the issues that matter to the communities within it.

“We will be focusing on reducing violence and improving public confidence in the police.

“I look forward to working closely with our partner agencies and I encourage people to make us aware of their thoughts and concerns by talking to their local officers and PCSOs, either in person or by phone or email.”
