THE search is on for the Aylesbury Vale Volunteer Of The Year.

Each year a panel of councillors at Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) selects a volunteer who they believe has demonstrated exceptional qualities of volunteering in their local communities.

Last year, Nicolette Pike, of Steeple Claydon, was chosen as overall winner.

Do you know someone in your local community who deserves this year’s accolade? Councillors are looking for someone who makes the lives of the people in their community better or more enjoyable. Anyone of any age can be nominated, as long as they live or work within the AVDC area.

Send nominations to Alice Fisher at or write to The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, HP19 8FF, and include as much information about your nominee as possible.
