Liverpool band The Teardrop Explodes making their second appearance at Friars in the Maxwell Hall, Civic Centre, on January 25, 1982.
Their first appearance at Friars in the Maxwell Hall was on June 27, 1981, a few months after they’d had their first UK Top 40 hit Reward which reached number six in the charts.
They followed up with a re-release of Treason (It’s Just A Story).
It reached number 18.
After that, chart success began to fade and eventually the band split up.
