Buckingham Garden Centre hosts its annual Grow Your Own Weekend from 10am to 4pm tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday.
Top gardening experts will be on hand to offer advice, growing tips and practical information on growing potatoes and other crops.
In a change of format, Saturday is Potato Day. The garden centre is welcoming Thompson & Morgan’s top potato and vegetable guru Colin Randel, who will offer potato growing advice and help visitors select the best varieties for the garden and kitchen.
As we enter a busy seed sowing period, Jason Breed from Kings Seeds can point you in the right direction with his topical advice.
Members of the National Vegetable Society Bucks Branch can advise if you are growing your own on a bigger scale. Top grafting expert Fritz De Zutter, from Moulton College, will be sharing his skills in apple grafting on both days. Rootstocks will be available to buy and visitors are welcome to bring their own scion wood for grafting
On Sunday, The Mid Shires Orchard Group will be promoting community orchards, with the chance to have fruit trees grafted on the day. Rootstocks will be available for sale and there will be a small charge for the grafting service.

Medical Detection Dogs, the nursery’s charity of the year will be there with a stand and Help for Heroes will selling second-hand books.
