Winslow sweeps the board at SAVE awards

Winslow stole the show at the annual SAVE Awards ceremony on Tuesday night.

The awards, which recognise people and organisations that bring significant environmental or community benefit to Aylesbury Vale, are run by SAVE (Support Aylesbury Vale’s Environment).

Winslow Farmers’ Market won recognition for supporting local producers and developing a real asset for the area; Redfield Community for their contribution to sustainable living including installing a bio-mass boiler and solar energy facility; and Winslow Transition Group for organising a monthly Film Night promoting environmental issues and developing a garden at Winslow Combined School.

Awards were also received by North Marston Village Shop, Transition Buckingham, Steeple Claydon resident Keith Searle, Spring Hill Prison for its biodiesel project, and The Friends of Spring Hill Farms and Gardens for regeneration of the farm and gardens.
