Padbury Pre-School got its academic year off to a wonderful start by opening its redesigned garden to the children.

The new outdoor area includes an undercover outdoor classroom and an all-weather play surface, among other improvements, thanks to a grant from Bucks County Council Early Years.

The children can also explore freely inside and out, wearing their new all-weather playsuits.

The pre-school recently said goodbye to its previous manager, Cathy Langan, thanking her for her hard work over the years, and welcomed new manager Lindsey Howard.

Following a recent Ofsted inspection, the pre-school was delighted to achieve a Good grading with many Outstanding elements.

The Ofsted report said the pre-school environment is safe, staff meet children’s social and emotional needs well and relationships are strong, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring children are confident and happy learners.

The report said: “The pre-school is a calm and positive place for children to gain the most from the rich experiences and the exciting activities.”

The pre-school is now looking forward to taking part in the Buckingham Christmas Parade, as well as its nativity and Christmas lunch.
