Owner needed to help end Charlie's extended holiday in Quainton

Eight year old Charlie has now been at Blackberry Farm Animal Centre for 457 days, and workers don’t understand why she hasn’t been adopted.

“Charlie is the longest stay cat we have ever had.” explained cattery supervisor Sue James.

“She’s a lovely cat and Now it is spring time we hope more people will be coming to visit us to offer Charlie her fresh start.

“Charlie’s favourite place is curled up on your lap having a gentle fuss, she will then stay there curled up for as long as you sit still.”

Charlie was abandoned by her previous owner in Cambridgeshire back in 2014, and has been in the RSPCA’s care ever since.

“We do have lots of black and white cats but that doesn’t explain why Charlie has been overlooked for such a long time.” Sue went onto add.

“When she first came into our care she was very under weight and in poor condition.

“For us at the centre she is a real sweetie now

“. Another of her favourite positions is sitting in the sunshine on her chair in the outrun where she can see the ducks and chickens roaming around.”

Blackberry Farm looks after over 200 animals that have beenneglected and treated badly by previous owners.

It takes the centre months to rehabilitate each animal, and they prioritise those in need.

They don’t just focus on cats however, with dogs, rabbits, birds and many other small domestic animals all cared for.
